Short Blog 8 — Countryside in the Centre of the City

Looking at this photo, you probably wouldn’t guess that its from inside a metro city.
Calgary is not the largest city, and is surrounded by thousands and thousands of acres of rural land. However, in the northern side middle of the city is 11 km² of field and protected land. This areial puts the size in persceptive, and I believe its one of the many things that makes Calgary unique.
You can sit in a place where in almost all directions only hills and valleys can be seen, but then still have a view of downtown all at once.
